GLLI 2012, July 14-15

The Great Lakes Lacrosse Invitational (GLLI) would like to invite you to our 8th annual event where we are bringing together great competitors from around the Midwest.

    >Multiple Divisions, both boys and girls
         School (Team make up from one school/district):
              - High School Varsity (graduating seniors are welcome)
              - High School JV (no seniors)
              - Middle School (7/8)
              - 5/6
         Club (Team make up from multiple schools/region):
              - Open/Masters
              - U19 (no players can have turned 19 before 9/1/2011)
              - U17 (no players can have turned 17 before 9/1/2011)
              - U15 (no players can have turned 15 before 9/1/2011)
              - U13 (no players can have turned 13 before 9/1/2011)
              - U11 (no players can have turned 11 before 9/1/2011)
    >All at one facility, in the heart of the Midwest - Centrally located between Chicago and Detroit
    >Playing full-length games, on full-sized fields

GLLI is open to all school and club teams. Both Men's and Women's . Over 100 teams expected in 2012!!

Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan - Midway between Chicago and Detroit on Interstate I-94. Within a six-hour drive of almost every major Midwest city.

Competition Levels: All teams will be slotted into one of three levels: A, B, and C based on experience and quality of application. Number of teams accepted will vary based on strength of entries.

Paperwork: Completion of Signed Waiver of Liability by each participant/guardian is required. Medical release forms are required for all players participating in the tournament and must be produced at check-in. Failure to provide this information at the time requested may result in disqualification of the team.

Games: Each participating team will play a minimum of three full-length games; two 25 minute halves, running clock, 5 minute halftime. These games are scheduled to begin on Saturday morning and continue through Sunday midday. For all brackets requiring a championship game, these games will be played Sunday afternoon. If weather conditions dictate, the tournament committee reserves the right to shorten or cancel games, as necessary, without rebate of application fees.

Awards: Individual awards for each member of the Championship and Finalist teams in each division, maximum of 22 per team (including coaches).

Application: All applications are submitted online via the Online Application Form. It is imperative that this is completed accurately and provides specific information on all teams wishing to participate. Please complete the Online Application Form, in detail, in its entirety. With everyone's cooperation we can ensure that all teams participating will meet only equal competitors.

Application Deadline: Applications are due June 15th. Applications entered after the June 15th deadline will be considered on a space available basis and must pay a $100 late fee.

Only Online Applications will be accepted.

Forms for the 2012 GLLI Tournament are now available in the Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Don't have the Adobe Portable Document Reader? Please download your FREE copy. It will take a little time to download, but the document quality is well worth it. Please follow download instructions carefully.

Acceptance Notification: Notification of Acceptance and Non-Acceptance will be by email to the team contact and coach on or before June 30th. Any team that withdraws from the tournament after being accepted will forfeit its entry fee.

Housing: All out-of-town teams are required to book their hotel reservations through our Official Housing Service, Premier Sports Events. This service is being provided to ease the search for hotel accommodations in the Kalamazoo area. They have secured discounted tournament rates and room blocks at hotels that are conveniently located to the fields. Please contact them as soon as possible to ensure availability.

If you wish to participate in the 2012 GLLI Tournament, please complete the Online Application Form in its entirety, submit it online and return a copy of it with your entry fee of $725 (US$). Please make all checks payable to: GLLI 2012. Your application MUST BE ENTERED ONLINE and your check POSTMARKED by June 15th to be considered for participation.

Applications entered after June 15th will automatically be placed on the waiting list and must pay a $100 late fee. Applications without entry fee will NOT be accepted.
